So what can I actually do online?

I'm looking to get Metroid Prime 3, and the upcoming Super Mario Galaxy.
And a couple of the Virtual Console games for classic and party games-
Punch Out, Bomberman, Gunstar Heroes, TMNT: arcade, the Contra series, and hopefully Squaresoft games will get done, I wanna get Chrono Trigger!
